The energy transition will draw on a wide range of skills, from engineering and sustainable design to marketing, financial services and transport. In 2023, the number of people with green skills grew by 12%. But the number of jobs requiring them rose by 22%.

"Green skills are highly in demand right now, as companies around the world and investors ramp up to address the climate crisis." says Allen Blue, LinkedIn co-founder.

However, he also mentioned that in just 5 years, demand for green skills will outstrip supply.
