What Would a Marshall Plan for Ukraine Look Like

In 1948, after World War II had ravaged Europe, the US funded a historic rehabilitation scheme called the Marshall Plan. It helped tackle critical food shortages and rebuild industry in Western Europe. Laying the groundwork for the modern European Union. Now leaders are asking: Is it time to create a similar Marshall plan for Ukraine? The destruction is continuing to mount following Russia’s invasion. 150,000 houses have been destroyed, as well as 3,000 schools. Ukraine’s precious, fertile farmland is littered with mines, and the war has damaged protected areas.
