Actress Nazanin Boniadi Talks About Women’s Rights In Iran

Actress Nazanin Boniadi talks about women’s rights in Iran and says Iranian women are standing up for women everywhere. Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Kurdish Iranian woman was visiting Tehran with her brother but got arrested by the so-called morality police tasked with ensuring proper hijab and behaviour according to Iran's Sharia law. She then went into a coma, and three days later, she died. There were eyewitness reports that she was beaten while in custody. Her medical records weren't released to her family. And that's what sparked the uprising for women’s rights in Iran. Nazanin Boniadi is an Iranian-British actor and activist. She believes the protests in Iran have lit a fuse around the world.
