Temidayo Akenroye

Associate Professor of Supply Chain & Analytics, University of Missouri-St. Louis

Dr Temidayo Akenroye is a professor of Supply Chain Management at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, USA. He earned his PhD in Supply Chain Management from the University of Salford, UK, and his MS in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge, UK. Dr Akenroye is a globally respected scholar and expert in supply chain sustainability and public procurement. His recent works focus on data-driven strategic interventions to address healthcare challenges, food security, and conflict minerals issues in the Global South.

Dr Akenroye has gained recognition for his pioneering study to improve the supply chains of blood products and human organs in Africa. In the past, his research improved the school feeding procurement systems in Kenya, Ghana, and Mali, which allowed more than 20,000 smallholder farmers to connect with supply opportunities. His work has been cited by researchers worldwide, and he has been invited to present his research at international conferences and symposia. The World Health Organization's (WHO) COVID-19 Research Database also lists his research as a significant contribution to pandemic preparedness.
