Richard Pomfret is Professor of Economics and Jean Monnet Chair in the Economics of European Integration at Adelaide University, and Adjunct Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bologna Center. Before moving to Adelaide in 1992, he was Professor of Economics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington DC, Bologna (Italy) and Nanjing (China).
