Hello, my name is Hassan, I am a Fulbright Scholar in the Community Climate Adaptation graduate program at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I have been working on climate action since 2018.
Through Plastic Free Pakistan our team worked on mitigating single-use plastics in Pakistan.
Through Our Green Masjids, our team incorporated environmental sustainability training in religious seminaries.
Through Our Green Blue Rawalpindi, our team built a four-pronged climate action and intervention project as a nature-based solution to climate change in Pakistan. I write agenda articles for the World Economic Forum’s Climate and Nature Centre.
I have shared my climate-related work with the WEF HQ in Geneva, the UN in NYC, and at Tianjin, China. I am a Global Shaper, Climate Reality, and Queens Commonwealth leader, and was awarded the Young Emerging Leader Award by the US Mission in Pakistan in 2018. I sit on Teach For All’s Climate Education and Leadership fund grant review committee.
I will also be reviewing Environmental Education grant applications for the EPA. My current research is creating the winter adaptation plan for Worcester.
