John Wu has over 20 years of experience as a fintech thought leader and technology investor. He is the President of Ava Labs, an Andresseen Horowitz-backed technology company, building the next-generation blockchain platform: Avalanche.
A technology visionary and ardent supporter of open innovation, Mr Wu has built his reputation and career identifying and investing in transformative technology at an early stage.
Mr Wu began his investment career at Tiger Management, a fund with $20 billion in assets under management at its peak, then went on to manage a global technology portfolio at Kingdon Capital before launching his own technology fund, seeded by Blackstone, investing in internet, software, fintech and gaming companies such as Google, Facebook, Salesforce and Paypal.
John received his MBA from Harvard University and holds a BS in Economics from Cornell University.
