Hanh leads engagement with major ocean industries for the Ocean Action Agenda of the World Economic Forum. She works with business leaders to accelerate the transition toward a nature-positive economy and supports public-private partnerships to promote ocean stewardship. Previously she held posts at the Office of the Director-General of the World Trade Organization and before that at the Food Systems division of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. In this capacity she managed a wide range of projects in developing agriculture and fisheries value chains and was frequently posted to the field to support smallholders, fishers, and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries to access international markets. Hanh holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from Oxford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations from Amsterdam University College. She also studied at Boston College, USA and Maastricht University, The Netherlands.
