Athanasios O. Tagkalakis is Advisor-Economist at the Economic Analysis and Research Department of the Bank of Greece. His research expertise covers empirical macroeconomics and in particular public finance issues.

Prior to his current position, he was formerly an economist at the Council of Economic Advisors of the Ministry of Finance (2006-2009, Athens-Greece) and an economist at the Structural Economic Analysis Division of the Bank of England (2004-2005).
