In order to successfully make a tangible impact in the field of youth employability in Irbid, the different root causes of unemployment were identified. The need for national education system to encompass innovative learning approaches has emerged as a top priority. Reconsidering the teaching content in order to integrate appropriate skills to better access the job market will allow both education and employment to flourish.Acknowledging that a more skill-oriented education is crucial, the Irbid Hub also recorded the many already-existing organizations which are organization supplementary training for school and university student. Therefore, Shapers agreed that a more significant added value could be brought by focusing on the labor demand.In particular, after a rapid assessment of the business environment in Irbid -which needs to be deepened in the first months of the project- it emerged that companies have little incentive to set up or scale up their activities. With the project "Unlocking youth potential in Irbid" Shapers aim at encouraging businesses to invest further in the city, by presenting the resources and opportunities that local youth can open up.
