Learning By Farming - LBF

Learning By Farming (LBF) is a program that empowers young students with eco-conscious values and practical agricultural skills. Through hands-on activities, it aims to raise awareness about climate change and foster sustainable practices in schools.

The project problem statement : The lack of awareness among primary school students about the dangers of climate change and sustainable agricultural practices results in environmentally harmful behaviors and neglect of the planet's well-being.

The project's target group: The project targets 30 students of Yassin Ben Abdalah Primary School in Laayoune City, focusing on equipping them with environmental awareness and practical skills for sustainability.
The project proposed solution: The project will establish green zones within schools by contracting farms. These zones will serve as learning environments where students are taught sustainable agricultural practices such as planting, composting, and water conservation, fostering environmental stewardship and sustainable habits.

The hub activities for this project:
1. Educational workshops on climate change and sustainable practices.
2. Practical training in planting, composting, and maintaining green spaces.
3. Collaborative activities to foster teamwork and leadership skills.
4. Establishing and maintaining green zones at Yassin Ben Abdalah Primary School.
5. Regular monitoring and feedback collection to measure impact.
