Yoshihiro Hasebe joined Kao Corporation in 1990, after receiving his Doctorate degree in Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering, Tokyo University of Science. His professional career has been focused on Research and Development, he held leading positions in Household Products Research Laboratories and Performance Chemicals Research Laboratories respectively. One of the significant achievements was his research and development work for Attack NEO, a concentrated liquid laundry detergent that achieved leading position in the market. In 2011, he was the Vice President of Hair Beauty Research and then became the Executive Officer, Research and Development in 2014. Since 2015, he is the Senior Vice President of Research and Development where he takes on leadership with a strong mission to create an innovative and customer-centric organization. In 2016, he became Member of the Board, and was appointed as Senior Managing Executive Officer in 2018, responsible for Strategic Innovative Technology organization in addition to current responsibilities. He currently serves as the Representative Director of the company.
Throughout his career, he has focused on driving innovation in Kao Corporation, leveraging his extensive expertise and experience in research and development as the management of leading consumer products and chemicals manufacturing company. He firmly believes in Sustainable Development Goals and its initiatives; he strives to lead open innovation and collaborate with other companies to overcome the global challenges.
