Vishal Gujadhur

Deputy Director, Development Policy and Finance, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Vishal Gujadhur is a deputy director for DPAF in country finance.  He works on issues related to domestic resource mobilization, national planning and budgeting, revenue management and resource utilization. 

Vishal joined the Foundation from Standard Chartered Bank, where he helped found the public sector group, which provides advisory services and financing solutions to entities such as developing country Ministries of Finance, central banks and multilateral development banks.  His clients included two West African Ministries of Finance, African and Asian central banks, and the World Bank.  Prior to that, he worked in Liberia as an advisor to the Finance Minister.  He also worked as an international economist at U.S. Treasury’s Office of International Affairs, with the People’s Bank of China, and at the Federal Reserve in DC.  He holds an MPA in International Development from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a BA in economics from Wesleyan University.
