Victor Matarranz is Senior Executive Vice President, Global Head of Wealth Management & Insurance at Banco Santander, leading Santander Private Banking, Santander Asset Management and Santander Insurance globally. Between 2014 and 2017, he was the Head of Group Strategy and of the Executive Chairman’s Office at Banco Santander, in charge of articulating the Group’s overall strategy and strategic and inorganic projects.

Prior to that, he was the Director of Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO in Santander UK.

Before joining Santander in early 2012, Victor was a partner at McKinsey & Company, working for 10+ years in retail banking in Spain, Portugal, UK, US, Chile, Mexico and Brazil.

Victor holds a Telecommunications Engineer degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA with distinction from London Business School. He is married with 2 children and loves music, technology and motorsports.
