Sylvia Coutinho is the Country Head of UBS Group in Brazil. Before that she spent over 25 years in various senior roles in Global Banks across multiple geographies, responsible for the management and strategic direction of areas such as Asset Management, Emerging Markets, Retail, Insurance and Wealth Management, having managed teams with 25 thousand people, 15 million clients, 2500 branches and USD 130 billion of Assets Under Management. She holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo - a post graduation in Economics from University of Sao Paulo and an MBA from Columbia University in New York. Sylvia serves on the boards of Edenred and Brazil Foundation and is currently part of CEO Task Force on Early Childhood and Instituto Airton Senna, NGO´s focused on education and social projects.
