Sarah Montogmery is the Deputy Director for International and Strategy at the UK's Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). She is responsible for overseeing the set-up, launch and management of the new Regulatory Horizons Council, a new expert Committee arising from a commitment contained in the recent White Paper Regulation for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

She has purview over the international division of the Better Regulation Executive that is engaged in shaping the debate internationally about the future of better regulation. The team leads on a number of key projects to further these aims, including leading on the Government response to the OECD’s recent report and recommendations for how the UK should improve its international regulatory co-operation policy and practice, including co-ordination of any practical changes and sponsorship of an active partnership with the World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
