Sam Burns

Global Chief Marketing Officer, KPMG

Sam is the Global CMO for KPMG International and prior to that was the CMO for KPMG in the UK. She has built her career in professional services marketing over 30 years and has been CMO for two of the Big 4 Accountancy firms. Her marketing passion is brand and she credits her success to staying curious, being grounded and retaining the commerciality instilled from a three-year stint in sales at the start of her career. She says “Given the increasing set of challenges the world is facing, it has never been more important for organisations to work together, drawing on their collective strengths to deliver change that can make a real difference. At KPMG we’re committed to working with others to make change happen.” Her achievements have been recognised externally many times over the years with several marketing awards wins including being recognised in Marketing Week’s Top 100 Marketing Leaders for the last three consecutive years. A former drama graduate, Sam is a keen photographer and creative writer.
