H.E. Salama Al Awadhi serves as the Assistant Undersecretary for Industry Growth at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), where she leads national programs that drive industrial growth, sustainability, and competitiveness. She oversees strategic initiatives including the National In-Country Value (ICV) Program, Make it in the Emirates, the Industrialists Program, import substitution and product offtake initiatives, and the UAE’s Industrial Decarbonization Roadmap.
With over 17 years of experience across the energy, supply chain, and industrial development sectors, H.E. Salama has been instrumental in strengthening the UAE’s manufacturing base, advancing localization, empowering Emirati talent, and integrating advanced technologies and sustainable practices.
As a Board Member of the UAE Space Agency, she contributes to shaping the nation’s space-industrial strategy, fostering synergies between the advanced technology and space sectors, and supporting the growth of a competitive national space industry.
Before joining MoIAT, she held senior leadership positions at Occidental Petroleum, where she managed supply chain operations, major exploration projects, and national ICV initiatives. She began her career as a Wireline Engineer with China National Logging Corporation.
H.E. Salama holds a bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences (Geology) from SQU.
