Robyn Holdaway

With a decade of experience across the public and private sectors, Robyn's background places her expertise at the intersection of policy, business, and political engagement. Her focus is on solving complex problems that have impact by strengthening the connection between government and industry, and, by supporting the translation of high level policy objectives through to outcomes. Working across the public and private sectors, Robyn has experience of both corporate and government decision making processes.

Robyn has experience leading the development and implementation of public policy strategies and stakeholder engagement plans; co-developing policy and regulatory solutions with diverse stakeholders between and across sectors; and, implementing these solutions across policy, regulatory and political processes.

Robyn's background includes a strong focus on the policy areas of: energy; climate change response (mitigation and adaptation); technology integration and innovation; and, resource management and planning.

Having worked as a policy advisor in Innovation Policy at the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, and as an advisor on social service-delivery strategy at the Ministry of Social Development, she has experience advising Ministers on high level policy, as well improving service delivery pathways to strengthen the translation of policy decisions through to impact. As a consultant, she worked for a range of government and non-government clients and on a range of policy challenges.

Robyn graduated with Hons (1st) in International Relations with a focus on strategic studies. Her undergraduate degree had majors in International Relations, Political Science, and Philosophy. During her time at University she interned in New Zealand Parliament as part of her Honours studies; completed the Victoria International Leadership Programme; and tutored first year students in Comparative Politics and International Relations.

She enjoyed extra curricular opportunities such as being a student advisor to the US Embassy and UK High Commission in NZ, as well as the Communications and Engagement Officer for the United Nations Association (UN A) National Executive in New Zealand. The UN A is to strengthen the relationship between the UN and member nations.
