Prashant Ruia, 56, a second-generation entrepreneur, has been at the helm of decision-making for the Essar Group for more than a decade. Essar Group has a proud 50-year legacy of developing world-class assets across Energy, Infrastructure, Metals and Mining and Technology sectors. Over this period, Essar has successfully executed investments of over US$30 billion in projects globally, generates approximately US$15 billion in annual revenue and employs over 10,000 people globally.

Passionate about green investments and innovation, Prashant is committed to building a sustainable ecosystem which is commercially profitable. A tech enthusiast at heart, he is adapting technology and building partnerships to position the Group as a frontrunner in fostering a green economy, balancing profitability with environmental responsibility. His mission is to build a value accretive future centric business portfolio at Essar.

Prashant is a regular participant at Davos, a member of the UK India Business Council (UKIBC), Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF).
