Was also one of a group of key faculty members involved in starting the Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies. Research interests include: macromolecular design and synthesis; directed assembly using surface templates; nanoscale design of biomaterials; block copolymers, asymmetric morphologies; liquid crystalline polymeric materials.
