Olaf Clemens has been the Executive Assistant to John Cryan throughout his tenure as CEO of Deutsche Bank AG. Prior to his current role, he was the first in a newly established position as Secretary to the Audit Committee and the Risk Committee to assist the committees in fulfilling their tasks and responsibilities on Deutsche Bank’s Supervisory Board and towards regulators as well as other stakeholders (2013-2015). In this position, he worked very closely, in particular, with John Cryan and Dina Dublon in their role as chairs of these committees. Upon joining Deutsche Bank in 2010, he initially worked as a specialist for corporate governance, assisting members of Deutsche Bank’s Management Board in performing their external directorships on the boards of various financial, industrial and service sector corporations. Olaf Clemens started his career in 2004 as an auditor at KPMG, where he was in charge of annual statutory audits of banks and financial institutions.
Olaf Clemens studied Business Administration, specializing in Finance and Accounting. He holds a doctoral degree in Finance (Ph.D. equivalent) from Goethe-University Frankfurt.
