Nick Talwar

Founder and Partner, K50 Ventures

Nick Talwar is an investor, operator and advisor. The majority of these activities take place today through Rohati Capital, a family office he co-founded and runs. Rohati means to ascend in Sanskrit, and this has special meaning to the team at Rohati Capital where the Group’s mission is to accelerate human potential by expanding the pathways for people to achieve and provide.

Prior to founding Rohati in 2024 Nick spent his career as a builder and operator in financial technology, mobility, and marketplace businesses. The through line in Nick’s career has been utilizing software to develop system change solutions to create access and opportunity for small businesses and the mass market.

Some notable roles in Nick’s career include running Visa’s credit card business for North America, launching and building Amazon’s embedded lending business into a 100M+ profit business around the world, scaling and running all vehicle supply and financing globally for Uber, and serving as President and as CEO of CircleUp (USV, Canaan, Rose Park, GV).

Nick serves as a board member or advisor for a variety of venture firms and private companies. Some of Nick’s investments, where he has also sat as a board member, include Payjoy (global subprime consumer finance), Shipper (Indonesia marketplace logistics), Rapido (India working class mobility solutions), AltBank (Brazil subprime credit), and Baobab (African small business banking).. Nick sits on the Investment Committee of K50 Ventures, a pre-seed Americas fund.

Apart from being a YGL, Nick is a member of the Aspen Institute’s Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Nick graduated from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, where he sits on the School’s board, and holds an MBA from Wharton. Nick lives in Palo Alto with his family.
