Michael Pittelkow has spent his entire professional career working in and for public services. In 1985 he started as a civil servant in local and later in state government and since 1991 worked as both consultant and civil servant in governmental transformation projects of all sizes.

Since April 1st, 2015 Michael holds the position of General Manager Public Services Africa. Prior to that he has headed SAP’s EMEA Industry Value Engineering team for Public Services, being responsible for SAP’s respective value proposition across the EMEA region which used to cover Europe (including entire Russia), the Middle East, parts of Central Asia and Africa and in 2010 also India. Since 2013 SAP’s EMEA region encompasses The Nordics, UKI, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, the Mediterranean area and IBERIA, Africa and the Middle East. Michael’s business scopes covers State, Regional and Local Governments, Healthcare, Defence and Education entities.
