Michael Martinez

Vice-President, Space Engineering, Maxar Technologies

Vice President, Space Engineering at Maxar Technologies (previously DigitalGlobe).
Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University and performed Post Graduate work in Aerospace from University of Southern California.
Career: Numerous technical positions at Naval Research Laboratory, McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed Martin. Since 1986, Michael has held a number of technical, program and management positions including both satellite & ground system design, development, integration, launch and operations of satellite missions. In 1997, Michael proudly joined one of the first commercial remote sensing industry, Space Imaging, which through a series of M&A activities eventually became part of Maxar.
At Maxar Technologies, Michael has strategically grown Maxar’s space infrastructure. In addition, Michael has disrupted the marketplace with the transition from traditional grounds systems to scalable, cloud-enabled, service-oriented architecture to support multiple satellite constellations and increasing delivery of products in the cloud.
