May-Ann is the Director of Multilateral Relations, Data Policy, and Partnerships at technology consultancy firm Access Partnership, and is concurrently the Emeritus Director of the Asia Cloud Computing Association (ACCA), and the Director of the Coalition for Cybersecurity in Asia Pacific (CCAPAC). She has worked extensively on technology policy development, including data protection, trust and safety, cybercrime and cybersecurity, digital economy, emerging technology such as artificial intelligence and distributed ledger technologies, ICTs for development, green digital sustainability, data governance and digital sovereignty, data centres and cloud computing.
She sits on the Singapore Data Protection Appeal Panel, and has also been engaged as a contributing subject matter expert on various international agency task forces and technology think tanks such as with the World Bank, ITU, INTERPOL, the Oxford Internet Institute, and the Internet Jurisdiction Project.
A strong advocate for digital literacy and inclusion, May-Ann volunteers as a career mentor to young professionals, and also works on inclusive technology advocacy in her role as the President of the Internet Society Singapore Chapter, and also on assistive technology programmes for people with disabilities as the Chairman of nonprofit organisation Engineering Good. An avid scuba diver and dive instructor, May-Ann also advocates for environmental protection of ocean reefs, and sustainable blue economy policies.
