Since 1977, Founder and Director, EDITECH Diagnostic Center for Cultural Heritage, Florence, Italy; with University of California, San Diego: 2006-08, Research Scientist, CALIT2; since 2007, Founder and Director of CISA3 Center of Interdisciplinary Science for Art, Architecture and Archaeology; since 2008, Adjunct Professor, Department of Structural Engineering, School of Engineering. 2009, Honorary Doctor of Letters degree, McMaster University. Expertise: engineering Sciences applied to diagnostics of cultural heritage, development of multispectral imaging technologies for non-invasive analysis of works of art, historical buildings and archaeological sites, authenticating works of art.
