Luke Barrett is Director of Global External Affairs at TPG. In this role, he oversees TPG’s global communications and marketing function and supports the firm’s branding and internal communications efforts. He serves as the primary spokesperson for the firm in addition to advising TPG’s senior leaders, business groups, and companies across TPG’s portfolio. Before joining TPG in 2015, Mr. Barrett served a as Senior Vice President at Abernathy MacGregor, a financial communications consultancy in New York. He provided transactional, financial and corporate communications counsel to clients across a broad range of industries. In addition to significant transaction and crisis advisory, Mr. Barrett’s experience included building and managing strategic communications programs for major global companies. Mr. Barrett graduated with honors from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
