LaMar Bunts is a seasoned customer-oriented leader with a proven track record of operationalizing strategy
and leading enterprise-scale services. LaMar has driven international partnerships and expansion in Fortune
500 and privately held companies including Silicon Graphics, Dell, and ITM Software (sold to BMC Software).
LaMar has also been a trusted adviser to several startup CEOs. He has scaled Operations and Customer
Success functions in global expansions for B2B and B2C companies. LaMar has recently focused on the
Future of Education and the Future of Work technologies and business models.
LaMar brings board governance experience through 20+ years on national and international nonprofit boards.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy in
Washington, DC where he serves as Chair of the Finance Committee and advises the organization on
technology innovation. LaMar also serves as Finance Chair on the Board of Trustees of Exploratorium,
which generates $50 million in income primarily through earned revenue and has been rated by the NY Times
as a top 10 museum in the world and by TripAdvisor as #1 museum in San Francisco. Exploratorium is at the
forefront of changing the way science is taught across the US and internationally. LaMar is also on the Board
of BUILD, a national nonprofit focused on youth entrepreneurship and 21
st Century skills development, where
he serves on the Executive Committee of the California Local Advisory Board and advises the Board on
earned revenue growth strategies and digital transformation.
LaMar is currently the Chief Transformation Officer at Dartmouth. Prior to that, LaMar was the Chief
Revenue Officer of Bitwise Industries, a technology company that creates tech economies in underestimated
cities, and LaMar was also contracted by the State of CA into the role of Chief Success Officer to launch
Calbright College, a statewide online college designed to serve 8 million stranded and abandoned working
adults. LaMar previously led the international business for ACT, Inc. and grew the business profitably by 3x
in 3 years with a specific emphasis on tech transformation and innovations in workforce readiness solutions
for the billions of people who need to demonstrate education and work readiness in their home countries.
LaMar graduated with Honors in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate
School of Business. LaMar has been interviewed and profiled by major TV, radio, and newspaper
publications in multiple countries including Brazil, the Philippines, Mexico, China, and South Korea.
