Kristin Peterson is a Nairobi-based social entrepreneur committed to advancing social innovation for global development. She currently serves as Co-Lead of Sprout, a digital platform designed to enhance the livelihoods of smallholder farmers across Africa. She is also the Co-Founder of Catalyst Co-Labs, an initiative that convenes social entrepreneurs, practitioners, and subject-matter experts worldwide to collaboratively design inclusive, impactful solutions.
Kristin previously co-founded and scaled two pioneering social enterprises—Inveneo and Surf Kenya—focused on expanding connectivity in underserved regions. Through these ventures, she successfully mobilized over $20 million in funding to extend access to information and communication technologies to those most in need.
She has been recognized as a World Economic Forum Schwab Social Entrepreneur, is a founding member of Catalyst 2030, and a member of the Clinton Global Initiative. In 2011, she was awarded the ITU World Telecommunication and Information Society Award for her contributions to digital inclusion.
