Kolapo is an experienced Product Manager and Product Marketing Manager with nearly a decade professional practice across leading industries such as Fintech, SaaS, Education, Travel, Real Estate and others. He is a founding member of the Global Shapers Hub in Ilorin, Nigeria, and is passionate about youth development and engagement at all levels of the government. He completed his MBA from Nexford University and has professional certification from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business & host of others via MOOC programs. He is currently the Lead Facilitator at Prodcademy, a hybrid styled Product school in Nigeria.
His professional journey has been marked by a commitment to innovation and education. He has honed his skills across marketing, tech sales, and product management, contributing significantly to organizations such as PropertyPro Nigeria, Evaluate Media, EnterFive, Versus Africa, Nexford University and more.
Kolapo's dedication to education continues with his engagement as a Product Marketing instructor at Utiva Academy, where he impacted the lives of over 200 individuals. In addition, he serves as the Reskill for the Future Lead for Global Shapers Hub, Ilorin, and a Facilitator for the Safe Space for Her furthering his mission to empower and upskill youth in his community.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Kolapo generously shares his knowledge and insights as a mentor to aspiring tech talents, actively participating in communities like Afrisplash Remotely, People In Product and ADPList. When he isn't working, Kolapo channels his passion into writing and sharing articles about technology, fintech, marketing and remote working, inspiring others to embrace innovation and the possibilities of remote work. In 2022, he won 4 awards from Hackernoon, a leading tech publication platform.
Kolapo's commitment to making a positive impact extends globally, as he volunteers for organizations like SustyVibes and engages with youth-led initiatives worldwide, exemplifying his dedication to driving positive change and inspiring those around him. A Climate Realty Fellow trained by Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project, he champions sustainability and cultural diplomacy, as seen in his contributions to the Commonwealth’s global cultural exchange discussions. He is a Fellow of Legislative Mentorship Initiative Inaugural Cohort (2022) and recently served as pioneer Electoral Committee Chairman for the Alumni's first executive body.
