As University Marshal, Katie receives high-level guests, including foreign dignitaries and heads of state, coordinates with faculty and administrators from across the University to organize high-level diplomatic and academic delegations, and collaborates with the Office of the President, playing a key role in special University events such as Commencement. The Marshal oversees the work of the Marshal’s Office, including administering the gift program, financial and human resources, programming, and appointing Harvard representatives to attend inaugurations, anniversaries, and major events at other colleges and universities. She serves as a liaison between Harvard and the outside international community, including Boston-area consulates and other non-profit institutions.
