Joseph Kenner

President, HOPE South Florida, Inc.

Joe Kenner was named president of HOPE South Florida in December 2024, following an extensive career leading an award-winning social enterprise
focused on providing work opportunities to those with barriers to employment.

Joe looks to bring his innovative leadership, experiences, and expertise, to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to further the mission of HOPE, which is to keep homeless families together by providing compassionate care, and guiding and equipping those served on a path to holistic life change.

Joe previously served as president and CEO of Greyston, a Yonkers, NY-based social enterprise, as deputy commissioner at the Westchester County (NY) Department of Social Services, and spent 14 years in corporate America, working in insurance underwriting/risk management, capital markets, and sales strategy. He was first appointed and then twice-elected a Village of Port Chester (NY) Board of Trustee member, and also served as Deputy Mayor of Port Chester.

He holds a Master's of Business Administration (financial management) from Pace University's Lubin School of Business, graduated from Williams College (MA), and attended Oxford University (Exeter College).

Joe is currently an Advisory Council member of the REDF Impact Investing Fund (RIIF). He previously served on the Board of Directors of Conscious Capitalism, Inc., the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council, the New York City Workforce Investment Board, and Tompkins Bank. Joe has been featured in a variety of local and national media, including ABC Nightly News, Bloomberg, CBS News, CNBC, Yahoo Finance, Forbes, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The World Economic Forum, Quartz and The Journal News.
