Jer Thorp is an artist and educator from Vancouver, Canada, currently living in New York. He is the principal of The Office for Creative Research, a hybrid research group working at the intersection of technology, culture and education. Jer is an adjunct Professor in New York University’s ITP program. Jer is a National Geographic Society Fellow, a PopTech Bellagio Fellow, and was the 2014 Virginia Tech Innovator in Residence. From 2010 – 2012, Jer was the Data Artist in Residence at the New York Times.
