Degree (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Formerly: European Strategic Marketing Manager, ASIC products, Texas Instruments; Co-Founder and President, IMS Research, which was acquired by IHS in March 2012. Senior Vice-President, responsible for the Technology Division, IHS Markit, which supplies data, analytics, insight and consulting to most of the world’s leading technology companies. Organization includes analysts, researchers and consultants who cover markets such as telecom, industrial and power technologies, consumer electronics, IT and networking, security, healthcare, media , semiconductors and displays; also oversees teams of engineers who conduct teardowns of electronic equipment to understand their cost and design architecture. A strategic focus for IHS Markit is helping companies that are developing products, services and strategies around transformative technologies, including the internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, cloud and virtualization, ubiquitous video, blockchain and 5G connectivity. Also responsible for RootMetrics, which is the part of IHS Markit that provides detailed analytics and performance benchmarking of the networks of major telecom carriers. More recently, the RootMetrics team has expanded into benchmarking the performance of IoT and Cloud solutions.
