Htet is a Myanmar-born, 26 year old restaurateur and managing director of Rangoon Tea House, a modern Burmese establishment with one foot in the future and one foot in the past. Htet is a graduate of City University London, where he received a Bachelors in Economics. \\Raised in the UK, Htet moved back to Myanmar in 2012 aged 22 and initially worked as the Public Relations Officer for the Yangon Heritage Trust, an NGO that aimed to conserve Yangon’s Architectural Heritage. \\In December 2014, Htet opened Rangoon Tea House to national and international coverage. The restaurant won Best Myanmar Restaurant at the Myanmore Awards 2016 and has gone on to feature in numerous International Publications such as The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Straits Times, Washington Post and many more. \\Htet was also chosen as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia 2016 for Arts and Culture and has ambitions of expanding the restaurant group within Myanmar and also Internationally.
