Guy Nordenson

Professor of Structural Engineering and Architecture, Princeton University

1977, BSc, MIT; 1978, MSc, University of California, Berkeley. Structural engineer and writer, bringing science and design together for climate adaptation. 1976, worked in joint Long Island City studio of Shoji Sadao, R Buckminster Fuller and Isamu Noguchi. Formerly with: New School for Social Research, Columbia, MIT, Ove Arup & Partners. Since 1995, Professor, Princeton University, and independent practicing engineer. Since 2007, has been engaged in climate adaptation and flood hazard mitigation research and has been active in improving the resilience of New York City as a commissioner and panel and task force member for city and state.
