Fabio La Franca is the Founding Partner of Blueverse Ventures, an award winning advisor and early stage venture investor dedicated to emerging technologies forming the next generation of the human-computer interactions, or the metaverse and web3.
Fabio is a partner to the World Economic Forum's Defining and Building the Metaverse Initiative that brings together leading voices from the private sector, civil society, academia and policy to define the parameters of an economically viable, interoperable, safe and inclusive metaverse, focusing on two core areas: governance, and economic and social value creation. Fabio is also a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council for Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.
Fabio is a Jury Member of the European Innovation Council, and Expert Rapporteur at the European Commission for the Horizon2020's €80bn R&D funding programme, and an Investor Partner of Innovate UK, part of the UK Research and Innovation, a non-departmental public body funded by a grant-in-aid from the UK government.
Fabio is a Fellow Chartered Accountant who qualified at PWC in London, and he holds an MBA from the University of Exeter. He is a seasoned public speaker and shares insights on a wide range of topics including the metaverse, web3, venture capital, gaming, sports, entertainment, VR/AR, and AI. Fabio's contributions have been recognized with the "Top VC/Accelerator for Metaverse/Web3" Award at the European Metaverse Awards in 2022, held in Berlin.
