Being a member of a small community with a lot of barriers to out-shine and go beyond, has never stopped me to learn and be a part of a larger global community and grab any opportunities of wider exposure for the sake of learning and giving back to my own community. I have been in the moments in my life in which I have seen and felt closely the pain of the underprivileged, the consequences of child labor, the fight for the women’s right and other injustices that prevail in the society. Those moments led me to ‘stop wondering and start doing something about it’. I have, since then, been involved in a lot of work that involved children and education as I believe educating the young minds has the power of transforming this world into a better place to breathe in.
I have been working for a global organization (www.oneworldyouthproject.org) that aims to bring the world closer by preparing young local school students to become empathetic and global citizens. I attended a week-long training conference on leadership in USA in 2013 where I got to meet the youth of 4 other countries and we discussed the global issues and how we can play our part for a better and connected world. The experience of working in the organization as a student has been trans-formative for me. I, not only feel more connected to my own community, but I know what it means to empathize with the global community now.
I cherish my own personality as being dynamic, confident and social and a passion for life.
