Ayesha is a Staff Representative for the BC Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU). She completed a B.A. in Sociology, and certificates in Global Governance, Human Rights, and NGO & Non Profit Management. During her undergraduate career, she studied at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Harvard University, and the University of Geneva.
She has served as an organizer for KPU's Students of Colour Collective, as well as the Director of Anti-Oppression for the Kwantlen Public Interest Research Group (KPIRG).
To recognize her demonstrated leadership and drive for social change, Ayesha was named a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum, was the President of the Association of BC Constituency Assistants, and was elected on the Executive of Local 704 for the BCGEU. She has been featured by CBC The National, CBC Vancouver, Spice Radio, the Kwantlen Documentary Film Festival, Sher e Punjab Radio, Rabble Media, The Vancouver Sun, and The Surrey-Leader Now.
