National Association of Friendship Centres

The National Association of Friendship Centres (NAFC) was founded in 1972 and represents 107 member local Friendship Centres and provincial/territorial associations from every province and territory in Canada (except Prince Edward Island) that make up the Friendship Centre Movement. For approximately 70 years, Friendship Centres have helped urban Indigenous people access the vital services they need to succeed in urban settings across Canada. Across Canada, Friendship Centres provide culturally appropriate services for Indigenous people living in urban centres and have become a place for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to come together, to share traditions and to learn from one another.
