The world needs to produce in the next 40 years the equivalent of all food produced in the last 10,000 years. One-third of all food produced today is wasted. Workers manually sort produce or use destructive sample tests, leading to inefficiency and waste. ImpactVision uses hyperspectral imaging and machine learning to address inefficiencies in food supply chains that lead to waste. It digitizes food quality control to help food companies prevent waste and increase yield. ImpactVision’s technology allows users to see beyond what human eyes can see, extracting information from further along the electromagnetic spectrum to gain insights about food quality.
