Cyber Information Sharing: Building Collective Security
Cybersecurity is one of the most systemically important issues facing the world today. Cyber information sharing is critical to helping better collective security in the digital ecosystem...
Our dependence on digital infrastructure is accelerating and cybersecurity has become the “great facilitator” of activity in the digital economy. Cybersecurity underpins the trust needed for smooth interactions between citizens, civil society, the private sector and government. At the same time, cyber attacks have become more disruptive, targeting critical infrastructure, core public services, vulnerable communities and personal privacy. Cyber incidents can cascade across industries and borders. The collaboration needed to secure digital societies makes cybersecurity much more than a technical conundrum. The Global Future Council on Cybersecurity will focus on the challenges of creating secure digital ecosystems. It will continue to build on recent work responding to emerging technology risk, such as quantum technology; support collaboration on the governance and interoperability of digital systems; and facilitate cross-border cohesion of cybersecurity standards and regulations.
