Suman Ghosh is Subject Leader in Film and Screen Studies. He was a reporter with national daily The Asian Age, India, when he opted for an academic career and joined Jadavpur University, India, as Lecturer in Comparative Literature. He completed his Ph.D on the films and screenplays of Satyajit Ray from Lancaster University, UK. He taught Film Studies in the universities of Lancaster and Central Lancashire before joining Bath Spa University in September 2010.
