MSc and PhD in Applied Physics, Stanford University; MBA, Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad). Former: Management Consultant, Tata Strategic Management Group. Currently, Professor of Physics, University of Cambridge. Research interests include quantum materials, specifically superconductors - which have the exciting property of transporting electricity with no energy loss - and hence hold great promise for energy saving applications. Research supported by European Research Council grant. Speaker at events including: Google Solve for [X] summit; Falling Walls International Conference; World Economic Forum Annual Meeting at Davos, World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions, Tianjin, China. Recognised as 'next big name' in physics by the Financial Times, outstanding young scientist by World Economic Forum. Recipient of awards including L'Oreal-UNESCO Fellowship, Lee Osheroff Richardson North American Science prize, International Young Scientist Medal in Magnetism, Moseley Medal, Philip Leverhulme Prize, Brian Pippard Prize.
