アジア太平洋地域の心不全治療に、今こそ投資が必要な理由
アジア太平洋地域では約3,200万人が心不全を抱えて生活しています。この疾患の罹患者数は糖尿病よりもはるかに少ないにもかかわらず、糖尿病よりも多くの医療費が使われており、医療制度を持続不可能な状態へと静かに追い込んでいる一方で、政策議論では従来ほとんど注目されていません。
Dr Krishna Reddy is a board-certified cardiologist with more than 35 years of experience in advancing cardiovascular care and health systems. He is the chief executive officer of ACCESS Health International and represents the Asia-Pacific Cardiovascular Disease Alliance, working to strengthen healthcare access, affordability and outcomes across the Asia-Pacific region. Dr Reddy co-founded CARE Hospitals, one of India’s leading tertiary care chains and Relisys Medical Devices, which pioneered indigenous cardiac technologies.
