Strategic Partnerships Lead, Frontiers

George holds a PhD in Biology with a specialization in environmental toxicology from the University of Konstanz, Germany. He has been with Frontiers, a leading open-access publisher headquartered in Switzerland, since 2017, managing strategic partnerships in the Public Affairs space.

At Frontiers, George drives collaborations with renowned global organizations such as UN Climate Change, WHO, UNHCR, UNESCO, UNEP, Building Bridges, GESDA, Swissnex, ISC and the International Year of Quantum, fostering impactful initiatives at the intersection of science, policy, and innovation.

George also manages Frontiers’ strategic initiatives with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and oversees Frontiers’ contributions to various reports, including the Top 10 Emerging Technologies Report. He plays a key role in fostering collaboration with the College of Editors and in leveraging data analysis through the AI Trend Analyser to enhance the quality and impact of these initiatives.

He began his journey at Frontiers as a Specialist in the Publishing Development team before moving into Public Affairs, where he focused on partnerships and strategic projects. In his current role, George leads Frontiers Policy Labs, a platform bridging science and policymaking, and supports the Frontiers Planet Prize through strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining Frontiers, he worked at an environmental startup in Germany, facilitating Indo-German technology transfer and cross-border collaboration in environmental innovation.
