Deon Kallis is a Senior Lecturer at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He holds a NHD in Electrical Engineering and a NHD in Post School Education. He is also a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional and is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers and the IEEE. Mr. Kallis and Tiisetso Dev Solutions received the 2009 national award for their innovative “Electrical Energy Saving Warning device” patent in the Support Program for Innovation at the DTI Technology Awards. He is actively involved in both the teaching and development of novel engineering product solutions.
