Denise Rotondo

Lead, Community of Sustainability Officers, World Economic Forum

Denise Rotondo is a leader at the World Economic Forum, where she leads the Chief Sustainability Officers (CSO) Community, a global platform of of 180+ Chief Sustainability Officers across 27 industries and 42 countries to strengthen strategic insight and decision-making on the nature and climate agenda. The Community provides forward-looking perspectives and peer exchange that help members navigate complexity and inform resilient, long-term business strategies.

Previously, Denise led the business strategy for the Centre for Nature and Climate, where she was responsible for defining and scaling the Centre’s approach to business engagement, partnership development, and performance management across regions. In this capacity, she worked closely with senior leadership and initiative teams to strengthen strategic alignment, drive portfolio growth, and support the delivery of the Forum’s climate and nature agenda.

Prior to joining the World Economic Forum, Denise worked as Sustainability Program Manager for a blue-chip technology company, where she partnered closely with the Chief Sustainability Officer’s team to advance corporate net-zero journeys, translate environmental ambition into practical business solutions, and foster innovation through strategic initiatives.

She holds a Master’s degree in International Management and Responsible Management for Climate Action, completed in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), with a focus on applying systemic thinking to business and organizational transformation.
