Antonio is the Health for All Lead in the Centre for Health and Healthcare at the World Economic Forum. The mission of this initiative is to drive a global movement to overcome the NCD challenge for low- and middle-income populations across every country. The three priorities of the initiative are to make the business and societal case for NCD prevention and management, engaging governments to embrace new models of public health, and coordinating public-private partnerships to drive impact across national and community programmes including city-based place-based change coalitions. The two primary communities of action align the interests of more than 100+ organizations from across 10+ industries across Cardiometabolic Health and Rare Diseases.
Antonio is an innovation and partnership development expert with a track record of creating impactful companies and corporate programmes across health and healthcare, insurance, digital health, and digital media over my 20+ year career in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Prior to moving to Geneva and joining the Forum in 2024, Antonio was based in Singapore for 10 years where he worked with investors, insurance, media, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and technology organisations to create ecosystems of change that include digital health solutions. His roles included Senior Adviser in Healthcare Data and Technology for the European Policy Centre, Venture Partner for Verge HealthTech Fund, Advisor for Mission Leapfrog by Roche, Steering Committee Member for Frontiers Health, and Head of Health Innovation for MetLife Asia. Antonio is also an exited startup founder with a history of building and scaling multiple startups as a founder and non-executive board director.
His thought leadership activities as a content creator are found across multiple platforms including books, podcasts including as host of the Digital Health Today and FutureProofing Healthcare podcasts, events, and YouTube. His perspectives on the future of health are influenced by his multi-stakeholder operating experience across 20 countries.
